info on huntspill from brigdwater aa agm

KSD - This water is still producing some good weights. The cycle track between Parchy and Bradney should assist the less mobile to use that bank and should not interfere too much with members.

Huntspill - This has a good head of fish of all species, although not many pleasure anglers use it. Although access to the bank has still not been improved, the association does try to do this and will continue in its attempts. Because a Division-One match is being held on the water, the Environment Agency is to spend a very large sum on weed and rush removal, which will benefit members.click here to read full agm report.

fishing reports off the KSD/HUNTSPILL

The practice match for the next Drennan Super League to be held on the King Sedgemoore Drain was a bit disappointing with expectations of large weights disappearing. I drew peg 46 midway along. Catching small skimmers and roach on 9meter pole soon dry up, the last ¾ of an hour I switched to the waggler and started to catch again leaving feeding fish in the peg is a nightmare. Ending up with 3kilo 100 gram just missing out on section and not far behind the main frame. Lets see what happens next weekend!

Sunday saw me fishing at the Huntspill drain down in Somerset fishing the winter League. Fishing the waggler 20 meters out I laced in about 4pints of hemp seed and caught on and off all match with bronze and red maggot. Finishing with over 6lb of roach helping me to a section win. After coming last, last match our team the nomads allsorts came second this time pulling us up to mid division

I’VE match fished Somerset’s River Huntspill for many years, writes Thatchers 2000’s Russ Tinklin, and, in my opinion, it is among the finest match venues there is, especially for team events. full article here

my huntspill match

Evening all, was going to post this sunday but still peeded off with the result. Got to the draw which was to take place on the famous river huntspill! drew peg, and drove down to car park, i only live 5miles from the huntspill, the section was from wolavington bridge, which in all fairness hasnt done well lately, week before golds corner produced 37kg of bream. So was told by a local guy you may aswell pour your money of the bridge today as all the big shoals of bream seem to stick at golds corner.full article here
